The ESDI teacher Marina Castàn, speaker at the Smart Fabrics Conference 2013

Marina Castàn, member of the Trends and Innovation Unit (University Department of Development Theory and Design ESDI) has been invited as a speaker at the Smart Fabric Conference, one of the most important conferences worldwide on Smart textiles, which will take place from 29 to 31 October in Barcelona.


Marina Castàn participate in the event by presenting Close to the Body, a project done in collaboration with the Institute for Advanced Architecture of Catalonia (IAAC) and the Eindhoven University of Technology (TU / e). A project that explores emerging space technology offers smart textiles to investigate the dynamic relationships between the body, textiles and environment. And it offers new possibilities in design research.


The conference will give the teacher will Castàn on wednesday, October 30, at 4.30 pm, on the second day of the Smart Fabrics Conference Europe, a place where technology, textiles and human interaction go hand in hand.
