The City of Sabadell presents new collaborative projects with ESD

Was presented today in the city of Sabadell Creative City project, a collaboration between the Department of Urban and Territory and three schools such as the School of Design ESDi, the Autonomous University of Barcelona School of Architecture ETSAV-UPC.


Will the government is cooperating with academia to identify needs and offer creative solutions and daring in the transformation of the city.


At the press conference the deputy mayor of the Department of Territory and Sustainability, Ms. Gloria Rubio and Dr. Elizabeth Ferrandiz, Head of Unit Product Usability and Space ESDi, explained the projects carried out ESDi.


- Design of a strategic communication plan for the service of bicycles for public use that Sabadell City Council wants to implement in the near future. It will consolidate students’ knowledge of design management in the field of creation and communication actions towards citizens, as well as time planning and communication channels to perform the aforementioned communication plan.

- Proposed intervention in the urban area of ​​the railway station of Sabadell-Can-Do Gracia. The work is aimed at making proposals for action intervening space, initially with low-cost resources, inviting their citizens to this space in relation to activities or uses that being donor or as new proposals that could seem interesting and appropriate to local people, looking for a city model more inclusive and alive.

- Proposal for the rehabilitation Vapor Turull listed historic building. It seeks to consolidate the students’ knowledge in this area in a building real and accessible and try to innovate in the field of rehabilitation of buildings.


This work will be conducted within the framework of the subjects Projects I 2nd year, in the first case, integrated projects II 3rd year, in the second case and Rehabilitation 4th year, in the third case, Degree in Design of School of Design ESDi, with the participation of teachers and students throughout the school year
