ESDi’s teacher Marina Castán travels to Madrid to explain the project Close to the Body

Marina Castán, ESDi’s teacher will offer on Monday, March 3, a talk at the Polytechnic University of Madrid ( UPM ) and Tuesday, 4, in Media Lab Prado around “Close To The body” project.

In the talk held in conjunction with Oscar Tomico, a professor from Eindhoven University of Technology, will explain how disciplines such as electronics, fashion, clothing and design are connected.

The admission to the conference about " Creating Clothes: dialogues between technology, textiles and Bodies” and “A phenomenological approach to intelligent design of textiles" is free.

Close to the body explores the emerging space featuring smart textile technology to investigate the dynamic relationships textiles between the body and the environment. Close to the body is a research study conducted between IAAC (Institute for Advanced Architecture of Catalonia) the Eindhoven University of Technology (TU / e) and ESDi Design School. The workshop takes place in the framework of the Master of Advanced Interaction Teaching IAA , a program that seeks to explore the creative uses of technology for practical and experimental purposes.
