This publication has three multi-language international editions (2002, 2004 and 2009) and has become a world leader in the field of ecodesign. DIMAD (Asociación Diseñadores de Madrid y Fundación Diseño Madrid) have proposed, with some important personalities from the world of design, architecture and education, the creation of the European Design and the Environment Prize best_ed, developing a platform to promote and awareness, with the widest possible dissemination, best practices that incorporate design and production processes to products, environmental values and sustainable patterns of specimens, which contribute to improve the social and consumer habits as well as current production processes. All designs of winners and a selection of the best projects can be seen in the exhibition "Lanube" until 16th of May at the Central de Diseño de Matadero in Madrid. PRIZE DRIVER The Award is organized by DIMAD, Central de Diseño y Matadero Madrid, sponsored by IDEA (Institute for Energy Diversification and Saving of Energy), Ministry of Industry, Tourism and Trade of Spain, Foundation for Art and Law and VEGAP, Fondo Social Europeo / EOI Business School, in collaboration with ASA (Association of Sustainability and Architecture) and support from Philips Lighting, The Country and Antalis.
