The new role of the designer in interdisciplinary collaborative teams

This paper is a document in progress that aims to provide a vision on the role of the designer in today’s interdisciplinary working environments, influenced by an open, agile and collaborative innovation, all in a context of design research. In order to do that, we are going to deepen the explanation of some fundamental concepts in the understanding of design today, such as design thinking, co-design and open innovation.
