Music and new spaces of digital communication

This article forms a state of the art in the field of musical production and consumption, transformed by transferring files on the Internet and the recent inclusion specialized web platforms. Through these portals play online, in many cases without any economic cost to the listener is allowed. Such a paradigm shift has forced the system to rethink the business model to continue profiting from this practice; the business side there are new figures with high power of influence over what is to be successful and what not. Musicians, meanwhile, have seen only way out performing live shows. This has fostered an incipient success of the "festival" format as a mode where many artists gather and convince fans to pay the ticket prices.
